Experience atmospheric jazz and a breathtaking cruise on our charming Helene in the company of Jens Christian Kwella and 2 big names; Peter Friis and Finn Odderskov respectively.
Kwella & Friis
Guitarist Jens Christian Kwella and bassist Peter Friis have played together for more than 30 years and have built a close musical partnership over the years.
This is their only concert together during Aarhus Jazz Festival — an obvious opportunity to experience two strong profiles in close and intimate interaction.
As a duo, Kwella & Friis have performed at prominent venues and stages, including ARoS Kunstmuseum, Musikhuset Aarhus, Michelin restaurant Molskreen, Jazzboat and others.
The duo's repertoire spans jazz's best evergreens combined with their own compositions, performed in an ever-swaying, playful and present interplay that excites the audience time and time again.
Finn Odderskov & Kwella
Finn Odderskov is a living legend in Danish jazz. Through a long and impressive career, he has moved effortlessly from traditional jazz and swing to more modern expressions and has left a significant imprint on the Danish jazz scene.
At this concert Finn Odderskov is flanked by Kwella — one of Denmark's most outstanding guitarists. About Kwella, reviewers have written, among other things: *

Together, Finn Odderskov and Kwella interpret selected jazz and swing classics in an intense and present interplay, where musicality, good mood and sincerity come into a higher unity.
