Experience the breathtaking view of Aarhus from the lake side and hear about the architecture, art, the beautiful old wooden ships and everything else we see along the way. It's all spiced up with little anecdotes and insightful tales. Our guide tells you about Dokk1, Aarhus Flydedok, Aarhus Ø, Kampanilen, Icebjerg, Lighthouse and Fisheries Harbour. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the experience, the narrative and maybe a cup of freshly brewed coffee with the cake of the day. If you want more than coffee, our friendly staff is always ready at the bar with everything from good wines to draft beers, soft drinks and snacks. Helene disembarks at 6pm and we are back again at 9pm. But we'll stay at Helene's for another hour, so there's plenty of time for questions or an extra glass of bubbles. Sailing including exciting tastings of spirits from all over the world. We will be visited by the local company “HIDDEN GEMS”... What is liquor, how is it made and why does it taste the way it does? Why is whiskey brown and why is vodka always clear as water? And how can it be that gin tastes like fir trees? Get answers to these things and more on May 13th, when Aros Cruises invites you to a spirit tasting with spirits importer and taste expert Jens Niklasson. Here he will guide you through various spirits such as gin, whiskey, vodka and liqueur. The tasting includes a small, drinkable welcome, snacks and 5 different spirits - some including mixer. All divided into 2 hours with exciting stories from the colorful world of spirits. After that, there will be good deals and a small bonus to take home. Jens Niklasson is a former distiller, taste expert and author of the book 'New Danish Spiritus - Craft Traditions and Newbrud'. Kwella & Friis Guitarist Jens Christian Kwella and bassist Peter Friis have played together for more than 30 years and have built a close musical partnership over the years. This is their only concert together during Aarhus Jazz Festival — an obvious opportunity to experience two strong profiles in close and intimate interaction. As a duo, Kwella & Friis have performed at prominent venues and stages, including ARoS Kunstmuseum, Musikhuset Aarhus, Michelin restaurant Molskreen, Jazzboat and others.
